Frequently asked questions

FAQS about Wedding Photographer in West Palm Beach

We want to book you! What is the process?

Yay! We are so excited to capture your BEST DAY EVER!

After you have contacted us, we will book your complimentary consultation to chat about your wedding! This consultation is usually around an hour, but most of the time we chat for two! It gives us a chance to get to know one another..and to gush about your wedding details of course!

Once you have selected which wedding package you want for your big day, we send you an online booking proposal to sign. Once it’s completed and the wedding deposit has been received, you are officially part of the Traci Burke Photography family!

What is your process after our wedding day?

Immediately after your wedding day, we upload and back-up all of your photos and video footage in multiple locations. We also shoot to multiple memory cards on your wedding day for extra safety!

Following your wedding, we will process and retouch your images for you. You will even get a sneak peek within a few days!

After the post production is complete, you will receive an email with the link to your very own image gallery, where you can download all of the high resolution files. We even include a second set of images sized for web, so that you can share them easily! This gallery stays online for 10 full years!

If you also had cinematography at your wedding, you will be able to view your highlight and feature film online, making sharing incredibly easy! You will also receive a USB drive including your wedding highlight film, your wedding feature film, full ceremony, full speeches and full formal dances!

What kind of equipment do you use?

I photograph using my baby, the Canon 5D Mark III. We also use the highest quality professional lenses as well as the top-of-the-line photo editing software.

Justin captures weddings with two Canon C-100’s and also has the highest quality professional lenses and video editing software.

We both bring backup cameras and other backup equipment to every wedding, just as a precaution.

Will you retouch my photos?

Of course! Basic retouching is included in our wedding packages. Basic retouching includes blemish removal and overall image color. We also offer more extensive editing for an additional cost, which can be discussed if needed.

I’ve heard that some companies don’t edit their own photos and films, do you outsource too?

Nope! We fully edit everything ourselves! We believe in quality, and it truly shows in our photographs and films. We don’t trust others with our products, simply because we have a very specific style and technique that represents our brand.

Do you only use natural light?

We love natural light and try to utilize it as much as we can for stunning images.

Although we love natural light, there are often times during a wedding where using natural light is impossible (hello dark receptions!). Because of this, we bring our own external lighting and use it when needed.

How long will our engagement session last?

Generally our engagement photo sessions are around 1 hour long. It’s a great way for us to spend time together and a great way for you to become comfortable in front of our cameras before your big day!

What should we wear to our engagement session?

This is one of the most popular questions we get asked. In fact, it’s so popular that we created a blog post about it! Please click here to see examples of the do’s and don’ts for your photography session!

What should we bring to our engagement session?

Feel free to bring two outfit changes, props, touchup makeup and your pet! (We love pets!)

We also highly recommend styling your engagement session, which includes creating a mini scene for your session to take place in. It can be as simple as a blanket and some champagne!

We also like to incorporate common interests that you share, so if you’re both into surfing, let’s include that in some photos! We like to make our sessions fun and relaxed, so that your true personalities can shine through the photos and films.

How should I do my hair and makeup?

We recommend having your hair and makeup professionally done for your engagement session. This can be a great time to have your hair and makeup trial for your wedding, so that you can test out your makeup artist and hair stylist before your big day!
